Google and Suicide
This post showed up in my feed reader today and what struck me about it was how Google has emerged as both a corporate force to be reckoned with as well as a cultural ambassador. Its power to inform, persuade, and, in this case, save, people is clearly something that is unprecedented (save, perhaps, the Bible or the Quran). From a policy perspective, it would be interesting to hear more about how decisions to alter search results like this are made at Google.
