Design Commission calls a little piece of sidewalk between Yesler Way and Washington Street our home - uh - studio. We can often be found shuffling up and down Yesler in computer induced confusion and this 'colorful' slice of sidewalk always offers something unexpected. We’ve got a savvy little collection of bona fide Yesler artifacts compiled by our creative director, Jay. Read on and link up to see the rest of our Yesler museum on Flickr.

Place several pounds fertilizer grade ammonium nitrate in pan. Cover with methanol (wood alcohol) and stir until dissolved. Filter dissolved solution, freeze pan in dry ice
bath, replace solution. Pure ammonium nitrate will crystalize on surface. Remove crystals, allow to dry thoroughly, pack tightly with one number six dynamite cap.
